About

Dr Kellett qualified from Newcastle Upon Tyne University in 1991. After junior doctor posts in Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough he took up his specialist registrar training at the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994 and a Fellow in 2003. During his registrar training he completed a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) on the genetics of Parkinson’s disease and developed a subspecialist interest in movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease. He was appointed to the GMC specialist register for neurology in 2000.

Clinical interests

  • Parkinson’s Disease including apomorphine, deep brain stimulation, duodopa, PKG monitoring

  • Dystonia

  • Tremor

  • Botulinum toxin treatment for Movement disorders, dystonia, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm and migraine

  • Headache and migraine including cranial nerve blocks, botulinum toxin therapy and CGRP therapies

  • Epilepsy

  • Multiple sclerosis including prescription of Fampyra

  • General neurology

  • Functional Neurological disorders
